Monday, January 07, 2002 first day of classes. i promptly woke up at 8a.m. how did i do it? after weeks of going to bed at 2 or 3a.m. and waking up at noon. how did i do it? i guess i'm really good at controlling my body. yessss. there were mass amounts of people walking today. i guess no one feels like they should ditch one of their first classes like Roy and i felt like doing. haha. we didn't do it of course. i have 3 classes in a row starting from 9a.m. to 12p.m. it's cool though, they're all right next to each other so i don't have a far distance to walk! yessssss. after those classes, i have a 2 hour break for lunch or sleep or anything else i want to do. at 2p.m. it's back to chem 20a. yes, back to chem 20a. doesn't that class feel familiar? yes. i took it last quarter but i need to get a better grade this time around to advance to the next chem class. it's okay. 90% of the people taking the class are re-doers. it was funny... the side of the room i sat in started a domino effect of screaming "i'm re-taking this class, too!!" one person said it and everyone just felt like being open and expressing themselves. the class is going to be a breeze. the professor is going to curve every single assignment and quiz and midterm and even the final. and after that, he's going to curve everyone's grade!!! so cool. maybe this time i'll learn something. with all those things, i have one exclamation: SCHOOL SUCKS! Marie called me in the middle of me writing this telling me her car broke down. awww. c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 3:54:00 PM (0) comments went snowboarding today with the family. took a van, an SUV, and 2 cars full of people. we know how to roll deep. went to sleep at 3a.m. and woke up at 5a.m. niiiiiice. got to the slopes around 8. what time did we stop boarding?? 3p.m.!! that's 7 hours of boarding! the longest we've ever done. did i come out feeling sore? heck no! not at all! i guess my stretches are actually working. maybe i've gone so many times in a short period of time my body is use to the extreme speed. or maybe i'm just not pushing myself on the slopes? heck no!! dude... i was hitting the jumps and landing but a small percentage of them and eating most of them. Lisa!!! i got like 5 feet off this one jump... but i didn't land it right. and this other time... i got like 4 feet... and i sorta landed it. the conditions at Mountain High today were very nice. the snow was really powdery and the sun was out. there was no rain this time so it wasn't too cold. the sun was out but it wasn't too hot. perfect... just like you, Lisa. today was a very productive and exciting day. carving like Michelangelo (i'm not a master at it... but at least i can do it on command). catching air like Jordan. catching speed like Eliza. manuevering like Eliza in traffic. SNOWBOARDING IS FUN. we all got to do the damn thang! Theresa... i'm holding you to your word. Lisa, i wanna see you do your jumps. we all have to go sometime. so Theresa said she didn't want to go snowboarding today because she wasn't feeling up to it. alright, i respect that. so who do my cousins see at Mountain High? a girl that looks like Theresa. they call out Theresa, and who turns around? the girl does. was it really Theresa? of course it's not. she'd never pull a Marie. just playing. i know it wasn't really you Theresa. just a funny story. went to the swapmeet today with Theresa and Marie. i was looking for any cheap snowboarding gear and a new belt. finally found the place where they sell the belts with custom-length! after all these years... it was down that one aisle! Omar! we found it! so, i got a brand new white belt. longer than the old one. my belts have been growing with me! i got a new buckle, too. i got an 'L' for the lovely Lisa. yesss. Lisa, it's all for you. i'm not doing all this because i want to impress you, because i want you to like me, or because i want to hook-up with you. no. i'm doing this... because you deserve it. you deserve the best. you deserve to be happy. you deserve it more than any person i know. c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 12:24:00 AM (0) comments |
