E3 2005

they had "girls" shorter than 5' promoting these things. sorry, no pictures
this girl was filming some skits when i took this shot.
she was too busy with that to pay attention to my flirting with her.

these girls were very immersed with their MMORPG (that's Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). paul rudely interrupted them to take these pics.
notice the difference in the pictures i took and the pictures paul took. every year he does the same thing. that's 3 years in a row. i need a new camera person next year.
overall, the boothbabes this year were all pretty fake. we tried to take pictures with the most natural looking ones with the RYL girls being the exception.
the good: the nintendo micro, the microsoft xbox 360, and the sony playstation 3. the xbox 360 had awesome graphics but it's always about the looks for them. they're so superficial. i really hate the gameplay and controls for the new need for speed but the graphics on the xbox 360 were awesome. playstation 3 blows everyone out the water. it's slated for spring 2006 and it's simply amazing. okay okay, i'm saying the PS3 is amazing based on looks alone but sony games usually have really great gameplay and content. plus i got to see a little bit of gran turismo 5.

the bad: there wasn't much else there. maybe i'm getting past video games now. i mean, when was the last time i beat a game? dang it's been a while.

in another accident?
this is the 4th accident eliza has been in in a year.
july 04: girl runs a red light, smashes my bomex bumper.
january 05: hit in run in a parking lot, chips off paint on my JSPEC front bumper, have witnesses and license plate.
march 05: hit in run in parking lot at work, more paint chipped off JSPEC, no witnesses.
today, may 05: i'm about 100 feet from my apartment. i'm on a 2 lane road. the person in front of me is trying to make a left into a driveway. so i come to a stop and wait for her. the car behind me stops. the car behind her stops. the car behind the last one rams into her hard. hard enough that the car behind me hits me (so a chain of 4 cars). that last car just takes off (i dunno how...). no one got a description or a license plate.
the damage? not that bad. there's a small dent on my bumper (not noticeable), part of the paint is cracking, and there is a scratch/gash to the left of the license plate. so i just need to repaint the thing.
i think my rear bumper is getting jealous of the front.
btw, i was in Los Angeles when this happened, on Veteran near UCLA.
old accidents:
2001: eliza was parked, friend backs out, gashes driver's side door.
2003: eliza was parked, idiot gashes passenger side hatch and right quarter panel, hit and run.
