Engineers and programmers are the often-anonymous architects of society, and what you do now could make a huge difference to the lives of millions, even billions, of people in decades to come. -Charlie Stross Shaping the Future

week 5 is almost over. got one more class and i'll be done for the week. 6 more weeks and i'll be done with this god-forsaken school. does USC sell any "UCLA sucks" t-shirts? i want to start rocking that. oh well, i guess it's not their fault.

who knew 2 years ago that things would be the way they are now. totally different. i guess no one expects these types of changes. but it's funny, i feel like how i felt 3 years ago... just "whatever" with everything. not happy. not really content. just there. i guess "bitter" would be the word. oh well.

here's to what can still be the best year yet.

what am i going to do now? i don't know. i have to go to OCC for the fall so that i'm a student and i don't have to start paying back my loans. i guess i can take some auto shop classes, maybe welding, how about some web design or computer programming? that'll be fun. *sigh*. this is a really big setback in my life. oh well. things could be worse... the lakers could be losing 0-2 in their series against san antonio... oh wait... they ARE!

@#%@#**&^%$#@!

if you can help bring a smile to my face, i'd appreciate it.

it is a sad day for young mr. pajaro. my CS professor is not going to change my grade and so i am stuck with an F and an overall GPA of 2.6. i have been denied to transfer into the ee department at UCLA. so, it looks like i am going to be transferring to UCI for the winter quarter. what am i going to do fall quarter? i guess i can go to OCC for a semester so i don't have to start paying off my damn loans. hopefully UCI will accept me with my very low GPA.

i'm going to have 170 units going into UCI, only 105 units will transfer. oh well. so fellas, i'm coming back down to orange county where it's much nicer. damn you LA for all the shit you've brought me.

"look ahead. don't look back. keep running. don't stop."
"where do i go?"
"i don't know. just go."
....
"and one more thing."
"what is it?"
"know what worked and what didn't. don't think about what happened, don't remember, don't look back."

it sucks when you look out in front of you and there's nothing - nothing great or exciting. no bends in the road, no hills - no surprises. nothing to look forward too. just a desert.

you look back (when you know you shouldn't) and you see a lot of great things - things that made you laugh and smile, things that made you practically invincible and invulnerable. you look back and you see paradise. you look ahead and you see nothing, nothing but sand.

oh well, sand is great. it's made of silicon and oxygen. we can make semiconductors out of silicon. maybe that's my future, changing a ton of sand into pure silicon for cmos transistors.

geez that's a depressing scene ahead.

minor protrusions in the sand ahead:
an EECE degree
a starter motorcycle

nothing else for thousands of miles ahead. JN is gone. *sigh*.

one day closer to... umm, nothing. just more sand.

i'm lovin' all of kanye west's productions and collaborations. he reminds of ja rule back in the day when he was featured in everyone's songs except all of kanye's songs are on the radio at the exact same time.

janet jackson feat. kanye - my baby
brandy feat. kanye - talk about our love
slum village feat. kanye - selfish
dilated peoples feat. kanye - this way
twista feat. kanye - overnight celebrity
twista feat. kanye - slow jams
kanye feat. syleena johnson - all falls down

and just to take you all back...
ja feat. christina milian - between me and you
ja feat. charli baltimore, vita, ashanti - down for you
ja feat. lil mo - put it on me

every tuesday sammy and i go to best buy to buy DVDs and ralphs for groceries.

so, i spend about $40 a week on food and household things: that's meat, fruits, vegetables, rice, eggs, milk, water, etc., etc. rent and utilities comes out to around $600 a month (that's water, gas, electricity, internet). gas for eliza is about $80-100 a month. cell phone bill is roughly $60 a month.

so, for those of you thinking about going on your own (that already aren't), you'll need to make about $800 a month -> $200 a week -> $5 an hour for 40 hours a week. that's full time at less than minimum wage. if you make $10 an hour and work 20 hours, that's enough.

i know most of you out there are making that much money and you're always talking about moving out and living on your own... there's no reason for you not to do it. so when i'm out of this damn school, we're gonna get our own place and live it up.

where am i getting the money to pay for rent and what not since i don't work? do i get any money from my parents? nope. i get it from loans. that's $4k for 4 months -> $1k a month. loans that i will have to pay back after i graduate. you think you're in debt? ha ha.

another really sweet dream has been thwarted by reality. damn you 8 o'clock class and mental alarm clock. if it weren't for you i would still be dreaming the good dream.

oh well, can't think too much into it 'cause a dream is just a dream with absolutely no connection to reality. or could dreams be an alternate reality where the frequency at which sub-atomic particles vibrate is different from the frequency they vibrate in our reality (got this from teenage mutant ninja turtles on saturday morning where they were all transported to another world where gigantic bugs ruled).

class in 22 minutes. enjoying my cereal and this nice sunny morning. it's nice having the sun out for a majority of the day. that's what makes the summer so nice. i wish we all can smile when looking at the days ahead. there's sunny days to come (<-- trying to convince myself).

yes! i just passed my online traffic school final exam. i got a 96%! i missed one question: "what happens when you ignore a traffic ticket and fail to appear in court?" the most logical answers were "issue a warrant for your arrest" or a "an FTA (failure to appear) will go on your record". i chose the former. stupid me.

the whole course took me like 5 weeks to complete. doing a chapter here and there. i put about 7 hours total into it. there were a total of 12 chapters with 7-14 pages in each chapter. online traffic school is the best. that'll teach you to get a ticket in orange county. it seems that OC is one of the few counties that doesn't allow you to take online traffic school. riverside and los angeles allow it...

you're right, vanessa. that last pic was at metro pointe. the damn security guards were frontin'. they told us they called the cops and they'd be there in 10 minutes to write us all tickets.

note: i don't condone any outrageous speeds on any commercial roadway.

on our way to the Z meet, frank and i raced down warner at the springdale light. surprisingly, eliza kept up with him. at the top of 3rd (about 80mph) i stopped 'cause i didn't want to go any faster.

the first lo-cal was brooklyn pizza on warner near springdale. there were three 240Zs (one with turbo), a 280ZX, a 350Z, a 240SX ('89 /w SR20DET), ronnie's WRX, frank's civic, and eliza. small but home-y. we all got to mingle, chat, and grab some pizza.

afterwards we cruised down to newport to the 24-hour donut place. there was no parking (saturday night) so we rolled over to albertsons down the street where we met up with alex and dave. from there, we rolled down to ikea for a good photo-op.

we cruised down newport blvd with nothing but blow-off valves going off "vvrrooooom pssssssshh". it was a pretty good ratio of turbo cars to NA cars (5 turbos to 4 NAs). on our way there, dave attempted to put some game on this girl we were driving next to. once we hit the 55, everyone took off. it was great. some people hitting speeds of 110+ mph. again, i don't condone this type of driving unless you're in the middle of california on the 5 freeway.

the lights at ikea were turned off so we rolled down the street to metro where we were hassled by the rent-a-cops.

it was a fun night. good meet. http://socalz.org

the new janet jackson CD is pretty tight. if you're into R&B then this is one CD to get. note: there is a "parental advisory - explicit content" label on the cover. so if you're under 16 (why are you looking at my blog? want to go out? it's illegal... and exciting) you can't buy the CD.

my favorite songs:
strawberry bounce
(feat. Jay-Z saying "bounce" randomly throughout the song)
...i'm bout to pop it
bounce, bounce
clap, clap
you like that...

my baby
(feat. kanye west, a.k.a. "kan the louis vuitton don")
baby, these butteflies they never lie
been thru so much pain before
baby, i had to try
'cause you're not like most guys
and i ain't ashamed to say that you're my baby
don't matter what they say, baby
they just don't know my baby
and how i feel about you, baby
don't matter what they say, baby
i won't let go my baby
and how i feel about you

i want you
cause you know that i want you
and you know that i need you

there's a ton of other good songs on there. y'all should go to best buy and preview these songs. or if anything, ask me to hook it up for free ninety-nine.
