NBC has an amazing Monday night line-up. It's damn good competition against Fox's Monday night of Prison Break and 24. Too bad that won't happen for over a year or so. Damn writer's strike.
Let's start off with the blockbuster of the night, Heroes. It is an amazing show and we can all call it that again because the last 2 episodes have been amazing. What made this last episode amazing? Oh, I don't know, maybe it was Veronica Mar's... I mean... Kristen Bell's character's, Elle's, playful flirting with Super Hero Peter Petrelli. Damn she's a hottie. And maybe it was the ton of cleavage they were able to squeeze out of her boobs. =) I can go on and on about my predictions on the show and how Adam poisoned Nathan but Heroes wasn't the highlight of the night.
*gasp* Kristen Bell wasn't the highlight of the night?! Nope! It was Chuck. I really enjoy this show... maybe more than I should? No... I have every right to with two of my guilty pleasures ending forever last season: Veronica Mars and The O.C. But Chuck is really good because it is a mix of action and comedy. I was wavering back and forth on calling it a comedy-with-action or an action-show-with-comedy. After the first few intense episodes I decided to go with action-show-with-comedy. Think of the O.C. and 24. Okay, maybe not 24 but maybe Fast Lane or some other show that doesn't have corny, poorly performed action sequences. Chuck definitely has an "O.C." feel to it since the creator of the O.C., Josh Schwartz, co-created Chuck as well.
Summer from the O.C., Rachel Bilson, was in tonight's episode creating a love triangle between Chuck and Sarah. And Summer has a perfect record in love triangles so, I'm sorry to say, but Sarah, you're gonna get your heart broken. It's pretty much a given. Also, Summer is coming back for the next episode. Yes! And if you guys didn't know, Summer was my favorite character on the O.C. Shoot, she just might be one of my favorite characters ever. Sarah, Yvonne Strahovski (sp.), is a good actress, her facial expressions tell it all, who also happens to be a super-duper hottie.
So tonight's episode is my favorite episode of Chuck. Right now I'm going to say it has surpassed the episode of the O.C. season one where Anna, Samaire Armstrong, leave's Seth and the O.C. for good. It's the one where they're at the airport and Seth is asking her not to leave and she's telling him to be strong and they have the song If You Leave (covered by Nada Surf from the original done by OMD; it is also the song they play at the end of the credits on every episode) playing in the background. That was such a touching episode. Anyways, last night's episode of Chuck surpassed that. And yes, that episode beat out the one where Sarah is fighting Carina and you blatantly see her flesh colored panties.
Thanks for reading. I hope to blog more often in the future.
