Saturday, April 17, 2004 here's to the best cartoons ever made. chip... gadget was all yours, homie. remember when zipper become human sized? or remember that two-part fizzy cola episode where gadget makes that dope contraption in the end? or that other two-part episode where dale hooks up with that sister squirrel who had a baby little brother? sometimes some crimes go slippin' through the cracks but these two gumshoes are pickin' up the slack there's no case too big no case too small when you need help just call ch-ch-ch-chip 'n dale rescue rangers ch-ch-c-chip 'n dale when there's danger oh no, it never fails once they're involved somehow whatever's wrong gets solved oh no it never fails they'll take the clues and find the where's and why's and who's it's all about fenton crackshell. a.k.a. gizmoduck. he had a dope girlfriend too. forget her name at the moment. launchpad, that dumbass. remember when they went through the odessey, or when they went to atlantis, or when they went to outerspace where fenton crackshell outwits that robot computer? remember he had those amazing counting abilities. life is like a hurricane here in duckburg race cars, lasers, aeroplanes it's a duck blur you might solve a mystery or rewrite history duck tales oo oo tales of daring do bad and good luck tales oo oo d-d-d-danger watch behind you there's a stranger out to find you what to do? just grab onto some duck tales oo oo not pony tails or cotton tails but duck tales oo oo c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 10:04:00 AM (0) comments today was a good day. finally got good sleep last night. although i woke up at 7, i was able to fall asleep again and wake up at the right time of 12:00 noon. changed marie's oil and let her know that her accessory belts should be changed because they're starting to weather at the ends. bought eliza new spark plugs from stillen. found out that an upgraded ECU will cost me $1359. f- that crap. came home and tested out the new plugs. found out that eliza's 0-60 is 5.63 (untuned). wasn't satisfied with the crappy mileage and high end performance so did some diagnostic tests on eliza. i was able to narrow down the problem to the EGR (which would explain eliza's poor gas mileage of 11 mpg... that's worse than a ferrarri!). so i looked down at the EGR solenoid (which is hidden beneath many many parts in eliza's cramped engine bay. i trace all the vacuum lines and find the source of all my problems! one of the vacuum lines snapped and is not controlling the EGR at all! so that will hopefully double eliza's mileage to 22 mpg. had happy hour at hooters today. ate a grip of buffalo wings, chicken quesadilla, and some fries. our waitresses were pretty hot... hotter than before. problem with the bill (as always with these shiesty guys) so i toss in an extra $5 amounting my grand total to $15. still problems so yeah... it was happy hour with $.35 wings. i ate 10+. you do the math. pechanga... craps is again the best invention ever. i walk in with $40. in the first 10 minutes, a 7 and an 11 are rolled. bam! i'm up $20. 1 hour later and bam! i'm down to my last $2. an hour later, i pitch in with james for money on 8. bam! i get $12 bucks from that bet. put down $10 on the pass line and start playing. on a roll people! in the end. i have $90. from $2 to $90! holy shit is that insane?! so i'm up $50 total for the night. in the end some guy actually cards us. wtf! we were headed out anyways. fuck him. good times. c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 2:52:00 AM (0) comments Friday, April 16, 2004 it is 1:12a.m. and i am online at graffitea. chilling outside with lee, will, dave, paul, and son. c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 1:14:00 AM (0) comments Thursday, April 15, 2004 things are looking good. two job opportunities practically fell in my lap. after lab on wed., my lab partner let me know that they have job openings over at Bruin On-Line. a gracious offer since i don't know who this guy is. and sammy told me that my.ucla is hiring people with experience in computer systems including linux, office suite, and computer hardware. dope. need to start on that resume tonight as well as 2 lab reports and one homework assignment. i've done two lab reports in less than a week before. this shouldn't be too hard. mistake before: procrastination. i don't think i'm going to make that mistake again. i'm going to start early and actually get shit done. barnes and nobles here i come! is eating 2 eggs a day bad? c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 8:51:00 AM (0) comments Wednesday, April 14, 2004
c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 10:59:00 AM (0) comments Tuesday, April 13, 2004 CS grade update i met up with my TA yesterday and he was really cool about helping me out and get every point i possibly could. in the end i got an extra 12 points. so that brings my project grade from 47/100 to 59/100. hopefully my professor will consider that a passing grade now and give me the C i rightfully deserve. and then i can continue my request to transfer majors. i actually got a denial last friday saying that they can't let me into the major because my F in CS 111. luckily i went to the office a few hours before the e-mail was sent requesting that the "transfer" be halted while i get the grade repaired. i get to return my $78.50 book because my professor said we didn't need it. yes! more money for me. i only bought one book this year and it only cost me $100. c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 10:26:00 AM (0) comments i actually wrote the word "dope" down in my notes today during class. you know it's a dope class when you actually write the word "dope" down. my notes went something like this "JAKKJN is funky dope fresh". naw, just playin'. it was something like "after you dope the concentration...". oh well, it's still tight. oh! and marie refreshed my memory on what JAKK is... i gotta give props to mike for deriving this: Jessica Alba Kristin Kruek. how could i forget?! lol. good times. c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 10:10:00 AM (0) comments Monday, April 12, 2004 a couple of new things added to my blog: (1) sammy has just started a blog so a link to it is on the right.
