Sunday, February 29, 2004 i was told to blog the events of the past 48 hours. probably one of the most fun 48 hours in a while. i will start off with tonight. (note: the next 3 paragraphs are going to be pretty much listings of what we did. not much fun there. so you can skim these next 3 and start reading at 4 where it gets interesting) (1) the night started out slow. paul and i went to barnes and nobles to meet up with sammy and his girlfriend mariana. he needed help with his c++ and, the good roommate that i am, decided to be his aide. paul brought the dave chapelle show DVD and we pretty much watched that for 30 minutes afterwhich sammy and his girlfriend had to leave. so we brought the DVD back to the house and watched it there, waiting for something to happen. i fell asleep and finally we got a plan going. (2) dave, will, paul, and i miniature golfed at palace park (i will not call it boomers! it will forever be palace park in my heart). dave was in it until he shot his paul straight into the lake and threw his putter somewhere. i won but it didn't mean anything. will got second and paul got dead last but who's keeping score? chris, steve, and daniel came out. (3) del taco and graffitea. the usual hang-outs. some more chilling with homies. chris, steve, and daniel came out but i didn't talk to or even see them. there was this crazy group of japanese peeps there (as usual) that rapped. the main guy, suzuki, had some crazy flow. he's like the japanese eminem (actually... more likel tokyo's most wanted, like malibu's). his boy casio hooked him up with the beats while everyone else bounced to it. he came into graffitea rapping some japanese flow and it sounded pretty crazy. i saw cathy there again. we chatted for a little until her friend came out (to rescue her) with the excuse that they had a friend in the car that wasn't doing to well. whatever. it's cool. before we left graffitea, we rolled down the windows and bumped some hip hop for suzuki and his boys and they bounced to it (like we did) as we rolled away. funny stuff. (4) so we decided to roll down newport to look for some action. not much happening there. we went as far as the balboa pier and ruby's. on our way back, i saw one of the scariest things ever! there was this 3 story house and the top floor had it's lights on. and standing in front of one of the windows (it was a window that stretched from the floor to the ceiling) was the silhouette of an old lady in a dress. picture grandmother time from donny darkho or the little girl from the ring (but taller of course). i started tripping out and told the guys about it so we busted a -itch because they wanted to see. we did that and we all started tripping and yelling. paul and dave we screaming off the top of their lungs and we just went nuts. (5) there was a fork on the road on our way back and paul got confused and so we took the left which had an immediate light. that light was red and due to paul's confusion and hesitation, he ran it. will was like "what are you doing?! there's cops all of the place". right before he even finished what he was saying, we got lit up. there was a cop directly behind us. how unfortunate for paul. so we pulled over and paul explained to the guy that we were lost and what not. of course the cop asks "have any of you been smoking weed?". paul's response? "no officer. i'm sober as hell." lol! cop: "why were guys screaming back there?" oh shnap! he must've been on the side of the road somewhere, seen us do those u-turns and hear us screaming. it get's better. paul: "i was scared officer. there was a ghost back there. there was a lady standing in front of a window... you should go check it out." in my mind i'm thinking, "paul, get out of the car. he's gonna think you've been doing shrooms or something." the cop doesn't respond and just gives us directions to the 55 North. what a crazy way to end the night, rapping with Suzuki, chatting wtih Cathy, seeing that scary old lady, getting lit up. (6) of course we don't end it there. so we head over to rite-aid. one of the coolest places to hang out when you're board and have nothing to do. plus there's ice cream and liquor there. well, that's saturday night in a nutshell. i'm too tired to put down the awesome events of friday night. i will save my energy for that tomorrow. good night all and may all your wishes come true. i don't like change. but sometimes change just happens.... i guess so. and other times you have to force change upon yourself because thing's will never ever be the same. so it kills you when things of the past just jump in your face and taunt you. i hate to say it, but i wish i could forget and not feel. sorry to get all depressed, but i just saw and felt some really nice things from the past (albeit it's not the same, and never ever will be). c l i f f l o v e's thoughts at 3:19:00 AM (0) comments |
