SIN CITY

this is my 200th post. wow, that's a lot of posts.
and this 200th post is going to be a special one. it's going to be long but there's a lot of good stuff in it. so just bear with it. thanks!

the last 3 days (thur. fri. and sat.) i have been attending comic con in san diego. for those of you who don't know comic con is a really big comic/entertainment convention. it originally revolved around comics but it now encompasses movies and video games as well. at first i was hesistant on going because passes for all 4 days of the show cost $60... $60 that i definitely don't have. but after hearing who was going to be there i was hooked and i had to charge the cost of admission to my CC. who was going to be there? it has to be a really big person to motivate me to spend $60 and drive 80 miles one way each day.

eliza dushku was at comic con on friday to promote her TV show tru calling. if you don't watch tru calling (you should), it is a very inventive show about a woman who relives certain days to save the life of a person calling to her.

jessica alba was there today because she is part of a very awesome movie: sin city. sin city was originally a comic book created by frank miller. remember this man's name because this man is BIG (not physically big but BIG in the industry). robert rodriguez is directing the film with a little help from another director by the name of quentin tarantino. robert rodriguez is the "bad ass" responsible for such movies as once upon a time in mexico, all the spy kids movies, the faculty, from dusk til dawn, desperado, el mariachi just to name a few. this guy is a bad ass. i told him my self. before he left the signing tables i yelled to him "mr. rodriguez! you're the top dog! you're bad ass!" lol. it's true. if you saw the "test" clip of sin city, you would say the same thing. this man is awesome. he has to be because he personally cast jessica alba to play the part of sweet nancy. miss alba even said herself that the trailer "fucking rocked". jaime king and rosario dawson were there as well because they're the two other hotties of the movie.

the movie plays very much like a quentin tarantino movie (a la kill bill). it is going to be a very artistic and moving piece of cinema. it is entirely in black and white with certain items colored for emphasis.

josh hartnett, bruce willis, bencio del toro, mickey rourke, michael clarke duncan, michael madsen, brittany murphy, clive owen, nick stahl, elijah wood are in this movie also. there are many more people like the asian girl from 2 fast 2 furious. that alone tells you how bad ass this movie is going to be.

if you're not convinced yet then you must not understand all of this. 3 hotties: jessica alba, jaime king, and rosario dawson in a movie titled "sin city". think about it. oh man, did jessica alba look DAMN good in that teaser. pole + jessica alba = heart attack.

so basically...
WATCH FRANK MILLER'S SIN CITY

i hope mr. miller and mr. rodriguez don't mind me promoting for them and posting this picture...

i wanted to get a copy of this poster but i was unable to. ggggrrrrr. oh well.

i didn't get miss alba's autograph but that's okay. at least i got to see her and hear her in person. she is honestly a real sweetie. she's just so niiiice and sah-weeet! she was just so cute when she answered your questions that you couldn't help but say "awwww". frank said she sounded like a ditz but what does frank know about women? jessica alba made a "surprise" appearance at the fantastic four movie panel and i was just so psyched to see her there again. more photo-ops!

jaime king and rosario dawson.... those two were looking very hott. when miss dawson was almost done signing autographs i yelled out (from about 15 feet from her) "miss dawson!" and she looks at me dead in the eyes. i continue "you're fine!" and she smiles. YESSS!! hee hee. later on when i'm walking into the hall, i see rosario dawson again. she is but inches away right in front of me. i pause and make sure it's really her and it is! i stare then say "hell-lo" (imagine saying 'hello' to a really really fine person that walks right by... you know... like uncle jesse's "have mercy" from the tv show full house) as she walks in between frank and me. she flashes me a smile and says "hi". man 'o man. that was dope.

anyways... i got to see sarah michelle gellar today as well. and that is my awesome day. #1 on the list today, #2 on the list yesterday. i can die happy now.

the scoop
star wars episode iii is going to be called "revenge of the sith". clips from the movie look bad ass. obi wan's and darth vader's fight is the best. i repeat "the best".

lois lane has been cast to appear in next season's smallville. note: she is not as hot as kristin kreuk. she can't be, she's not eliza dushku or jessica alba. but she's okay. cloe and lionel luther were there today as well.

fantastic four: jessica alba is going to be the invisible girl. ioan gruffudd, lancelot from the movie "king arthur", is going to play mr. fantastic. sounds like the directors and producers are going to work hard in making this movie to appease all of the avid fans out there. the very famous michael chiklis is going to play the thing. you may remember him from the tv show the shield, curly from the three stooges movie, the commish, etc.

alien versus predator: fight scenes between the aliens and the predators look awesome. the human side of the story seems kind of cheesy but it still looks to be a promising movie.

more pics to come.

in the continuing effort to put meaning in my life, i have bought a $60 4-day pass to go to comic-con ("con" for convention). here are some pics of the day:

pika! pika! pikachu!

snoopy

life-sized predator made of miscellaneous car parts
(like the one you see up in berkeley)

nice skirts

nice sword

nice...

friday: eliza dushku
saturday: jessica alba and sarah michelle gellar
frank said kristin kreuk will be there...
that's JAKKED and MG...

hopefully i can get some good pictures and maybe an autorgraph.

again, i am putting meaning on things that i know deep down mean very little and are unimportant. but life's tough and you have to take what you can get.

dammit! the "i, robot" premiere was over at fox theaters in westwood. that must've been the movie that they blocked off the street that sammy and i drove by on our way to and from best buy. i asked him if he wanted to go and ride our bikes to it but he said "no" as expected. damn!

the guys from OCC were building an "i, robot" bike for will smith and they unveiled it at the movie premiere on tonight's episode "american chopper".

i am currently in my apartment all alone. there is nothing left in the living room except the TV, TV stand and coffee table. i have to sleep on the floor because i took my bed back home. at least i left my comforter, sheets, pillows, and blanket so i have something to sleep on. it is so very lonely here. i look around and i'm reminded of when i first moved in and.... yeah, i shall not go on.

a lot of cleaning to be done tomorrow.

thanks chris for reminding me that the top part of a desk is known as a "hutch".

i bought the nina sky CD today. these twins are hot. nina = nicole and natalie. it's pretty good. it's nice to hear some good R&B songs on the radio now. and it's time to welcome back mase. need to get that CD when it comes out. i still need to get a copy of his first album....

i also bought office space and super troopers. two damn funny movies. office space is a classic though. everyone needs a copy of this movie. keep in mind that omar, paul, and i had a work atmosphere very similar to the one in the movie. we had "tps report"-like reports to do with cover letters and many other frivolous rules to follow that changed from day to day. i'm glad we didn't have memos to worry about. but we also had a printer that told us many times "PC load letter" (basically out of paper).
***** DON'T READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU'VE NEVER SEEN OFFICE SPACE *****

it didn't trouble us like it did michael and samir but i would love to beat up on it like they did. it would be nice if someone burnt it down to the ground...

i helped my cousin move today.  she goes to sdsu and was moving out of her apartment into a house.  it was my family and i that did all the moving and i must say, we love moving.  my sister has moved nearly 10 times in the lifetime of her kids, my cousin leo has moved 3 times, and various other cousins have moved into apartments, out of apartments, houses, dorms, etc. etc.  we've moved everything and from all heights (we've done refridgerators and beds and entertainment centers down winding staircases, bent staircases, straight staircases).

but i'm serious when i said we love moving.  okay, maybe we don't "love" it but we do enjoy it and have fun with it.  my cousin leo today said it "i love moving!" and not in a sarcastic tone.  we  got everything into the back of two trucks and two SUVs and my cousin said his exclamation in response to our great accomplishment.  oh, and there was A LOT of stuff to put on those trucks and in those SUVs (note:  by SUVs i mean the back trunk space because inside those SUVs are children as well as 'moving stuff' so don't think the backseats were put down)
2 futons (one made of metal and one made of wood with large futon mattresses)
2 beds (2 metal frames and 2 mattresses)
a dining table (base and glass)
a computer desk (with top compartment... i forget what it's called at the moment... come on ikea lovers... help me out...)
an entertainment center
a kitchen thingy where you can put a microwave and toaster oven
more than a dozen boxes
etc. etc.

so basically this entire post is about me and my family's  pride in our moving skills (i know the grammatical mistake made in this sentence but the correct way never ever ever sounds correct although it is:  my family's and my pride?????   why??!!!)

oh yeah, i stopped and slept at a rest stop on my way back from san diego because i was alone and tired from moving (it was 5p.m., lol).
