Engineers and programmers are the often-anonymous architects of society, and what you do now could make a huge difference to the lives of millions, even billions, of people in decades to come.

i just got fucked up.
i was biking back from my discussion this morning and either i hit something or something got stuck in the spokes of my tires. so my bike stopped and i flew forward. i flew forward like 5 feet and i skidded another 5. luckily my face absorbed everything. (gyeah.... right!) two guys came over to see if i was alright. one of 'em called an emt over. the first thing i did when i got up? i checked if i still got my teeth. i did... so i got up, picked up all my ish, and walked towards the curb. my nose was bleeding so i pulled out the napkins from my backpack. i told the guys i was alright and that they could leave. one of 'em did because his car was blocking the street. the other stayed until the emt came over. the emts came quick since the hospital was right there. they checked if i broke my neck (duh! i was able to walk from where i fell and i was sitting there on the curb). they checked my blood pressure and my pulse. they left since i was alright. i went to the bathroom to check what the fuck just happened to my face... "my friends couldn't tell if i looked like tom cruise from vanilla sky" at least i don't have to "imagine how my girl feel, on the plane scared as hell that her guy look like emitt till". so my noise is all scratched up and i've got a big laceration above my lips. it's all red so i looked really fucked up. my lips are really swolen and they're scratched up pretty bad (yeah, they helped break my fall too).
