Engineers and programmers are the often-anonymous architects of society, and what you do now could make a huge difference to the lives of millions, even billions, of people in decades to come.

talking with cindy last night made me realize a couple things.
first, i think i've finally become a UCLA student. being revoked of all of my student privileges got me thinking, "i need to be a student. i can't be a college drop-out." and then it hit me again, i'm fortunate to be a UCLA student. UCLA is a good school (hate to admit that) and i should be proud to be a bruin (maybe not for the sports but for the academics). biking around campus in 3rd gear (stepping up the gears cause 1st gear is weak sauce now... even up the wretched hill) made me realize that this is my campus.
i think i'm so proud to be taking part in that semiconductor engineering lab that i must substantiate all that is around me (the school, the campus, the environment) to make taking the lab even bigger thing.
second, i need a girl friend. i need someone to talk to. there's so much i want to say (blah blah you've heard this before). there's so much excitement that i want to share too. it'd be cool to come out of class and call her up and tell her how excited you are and the things you did and hear the reply "that's great honey!"
i think i'd be a great boyfriend. *wink* *wink* *hint* *hint*. great points in your blog, catherine. it's great when you can just "be". the statement "sometimes love isn't enough" is bullshit. it is enough and you just got to believe and enjoy it.
