"EWI: evening with industry"
dinner with big name companies in the industry such as raytheon, ibm, nokia, broadcom, symantec, etc. etc. i sat at the table with nokia. i rapped with the representative pretty well. i think i made a very good impression talking about indian casinos, tjs, and the supernatural. he seemed to enjoy it all. damn am i good.
but in all honesty though, that was all true. i made a dope impression. and i got a ton of dope freebies, the main reason i stood in line and talked BS to the representatives: i got a globe stressball and pen from broadcom, a light keychain from honeywell, a t-shirt from nokia, and a CD holder thingy from northrup.
when i was talking to the broadcom girl, dave came over and interrupted us. i told him how rude that was of him and he was like "i'm so sorry, you know what, you should hire this guy. he's so smart. and look at him, he's cute isn't he?" and then walked away. dave's my wingman. the girl looked a little embarassed but yeah.
so the main parts of the night: getting the globe stressball and making a girl blush. not giving out my resume to lots of companies.
