it's official. i have my diploma. i had to pay an outstanding balance of $0.88 on my BAR account to get my diploma, though.
i got the day off to drive up to LA and pick it up. had some $1 fish tacos and $0.23 fries from rubios. (that's a heads-up to you) ate at the lounge and ran into some familiar faces. i also got a geeky/nerdy IEEE t-shirt with a circuit diagram on it. and finally i spent lots of money to get my dad a UCLA jacket.
came back home and went to a tech job fair at the anaheim convention center. they required 2 years experience and were checking for that at the door. the lady at the front put me on the spot but eventually let me in.
this job fair was so stiff. makes me appreciate the job fairs at school more. god, some HR people and hiring managers suck ass. yeah, they've been there for a few hours but shit, it's your damn job. be a little friendly.
yeah, old working people suck. i don't want to grow up, i'm a toys r us kid. who knew VWA would be the most fun job with the coolest coworkers?
and what made this a bad day in the end? i didn't pick up final fantasy vii advent children on DVD. yeah, i've seen it but for me not to have it.... very disappointing.
i had my mom pick up the game (the original final fantasy vii) while i was in school. yep, she waited in line with other people (other parents, too). probably one of the best video games ever (chrono trigger might trump this one) with the most memorable characters.
talking to people... i need to do it more often.
