hi!
lenten sacrifices
the last time i posted i stated my lenten sacrifices: no red meat, no cussing.
no red meat - i failed 2 times, unknowingly. (1) there was pieces of bacon in a chicken sandwich i was eating. (2) i had pepperoni pizza at work on saturday and i didn't realize the pepperoni until monday when we had the leftovers.
no cussing - yeah, not so well.
work
yeah, i worked on saturday. it's cool. it was just me and 2 of my coworkers and one of their dogs.
working to get things done by the deadline (tomorrow monday). the original deadline was 2 weeks ago, the 2nd deadline was 2 days ago. i think this last deadline is it.
but don't worry about me. there's absolutely no stress. and working on the weekends was no biggie. it was pretty much just chillin' with the "homies" while hitting the keys on the keyboard.

i thought her heart needed to be worked on. i did some tests and it looked pretty bleak. i realized i ran the tests under some unfavorable conditions (cold motor vs. warm motor). i reran the tests and the numbers came back normal. although the cold condition results do hint at some possible issues but she should be fine for the next year or so.
so i washed her up really well after i converted the bad news into good.
today (tuesday) there was a freak storm that came in bringin some rain and super high speed winds. i heard the term "gale-force winds" used on the news.
she's getting a complete exhaust system (from the turbos and back) and some other nice goodies: bigger intercoolers (she has 2) and an ATI damper (lightweight crank pulley).
car stuff
yep, lots of cars to work on still. fixing things is what keeps me sane. i suppose it is now my profession. *sigh*
the roadster is being sold so there'll be more space in the driveway.
the mirage (a.k.a. miraje) will be brought back home (from frank's garage) and be brought to good working condition. i've gutted the entire interior and relocated the battery to the back. also, the little issue i had with eliza is the exact some one that's been plaguing miraje. so perhaps now i can get miraje running 10x better. miraje will also be getting power steering so she'll be much more fun to drive. yay!
i have my coworkers camry to work on too. it's sitting on the street waiting for me to pull the transmission and fix the rear main seal (hopefully that's what's leaking all the oil).
there's also the brakes on my brother-in-law's sequoia...
the steering on the truck...
the squeeling brakes on the camry...
it sounds like a bunch of problems and you're probably thinking "if you were such a good mechanic, then why all the problems?" hey, do you know anyone else with so many old cars that are still able to run ('87 mirage, '89 nissan truck, etc. etc.).

life is great. i thank the lord for all i have. i ask him to bless everyone that i know and to keep us all safe and healthy.
i want to watch teenage mutant ninja turtles.
